M2 Susquehanna University beats M2 Muhlenberg College 5-4 after comeback scare

M2 Muhlenberg College tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but M2 Susquehanna University would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-4.

M2 Susquehanna University made the score 5-2 on a goal by Eric White at 6:02 in the second period, and M2 Muhlenberg College got as close as 5-4 when Sam Amon scored 9:20 into the third period.

White had a great game for M2 Susquehanna University, netting two goals.

M2 Susquehanna University kept M2 Muhlenberg College's goalie busy throughout the game, and Bryan Macallister made 44 saves on 49 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

M2 Susquehanna University additionally got points from Kade MacGregor, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for M2 Susquehanna University included Pierce Mead and John Vitti, who each put in one. More assists for M2 Susquehanna University came via Zakary Pavlishin, who had one.

M2 Muhlenberg College stifled M2 Susquehanna University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M2 Muhlenberg College forced M2 Susquehanna University goalie Ethan Kupp to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

M2 Muhlenberg College was helped by Billy Rafferty, who finished with two goals. Rafferty scored the first of his two goals at 10:19 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Tavormina provided the assist. Rafferty's next tally made the score 5-3 M2 Susquehanna University with 3:20 left in the second period. Amon assisted on the tally. M2 Muhlenberg College also got points from Tavormina, who also registered one goal and one assist and Amon, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, M2 Muhlenberg College received assists from Jacob Picker, who had two and Edward Bavaria and Nolan Rusk, who contributed one each.
