M3-Tampa-University of never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Spartans fell behind 4-1 after a goal by M3-Florida State University's Robert Kaplove at 11:16 in the first period. M3-Tampa-University of knotted things up at 6-6 on a goal by Jacob Peterson at 7:00 in the third period. The Spartans netted the game winner at 10:16 in the third period on a goal by Peterson. Garrett Torrico was all over the ice for M3-Tampa-University of, as he tallied two goals and four assists in the win.
