Huge game by Kohlhepp boosts M3-Fairfield University over M2 Sacred Heart II, 6-3ACHA Head Office Fri, Oct 23, 2015 M3-Fairfield University's Scott Kohlhepp had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over M2 Sacred Heart II. Kohlhepp beat Richie Henderson with a shot 4:38 into the third period to make the score 5-3 M3-Fairfield University. Mike Malloy picked up the assist.In the losing effort, M2 Sacred Heart II was sparked by Ryan Hoover, who racked up two goals. Hoover scored the first of his two goals at 1:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Malloy provided the assist. Hoover's next tally made the score 3-2 M3-Fairfield University with 5:18 left in the second period. Zachary Silva assisted on the tally. M3-Fairfield University kept M2 Sacred Heart II's goalie busy throughout the game, and Henderson made 41 saves on 47 shots. M3-Fairfield University also had goals scored by Glenn LaFountain, Ryan McGovern, Matthew Engel, Jeff Gaita, and Sam Carroll, who each put in one. In addition, M3-Fairfield University received assists from Will Carlin, Christian Habberstad, and Jp OMalley, who contributed one each. M2 Sacred Heart II forced M3-Fairfield University goalie Fred Neftin to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. M2 Sacred Heart II also got a goal from William Meyer as well. More assists for M2 Sacred Heart II came via Corey Dybas, Daniel Falzarano, and Adrian MccarthyTiella, who each chipped in one. Fred Neftin made 28 saves for M3-Fairfield University on 31 shots. M3-Fairfield University totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. M3-Fairfield University ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Brendan Joyce was ejected from the game. M2 Sacred Heart II incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors and had no power play opportunities.
