M2 California State Univ-Northridge beats M2 Loyola Marymount University 4-3 after comeback scare

M2 Loyola Marymount University tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but M2 California State Univ-Northridge held on for a 4-3 victory.

A goal by Eli Berengut put M2 California State Univ-Northridge up 4-2 in the third period, but M2 Loyola Marymount University pulled to within one on James Andrews's tally 19:32 into the third period.

Berengut had two goals to lead M2 California State Univ-Northridge to victory.

M2 California State Univ-Northridge put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M2 Loyola Marymount University to score on any of its four power plays. M2 Loyola Marymount University was unable to stop M2 California State Univ-Northridge from sending pucks towards the net, and M2 California State Univ-Northridge eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

Matthew Alesse also scored for M2 California State Univ-Northridge. Other players who recorded assists for M2 California State Univ-Northridge were Levi Bolls and Alex Reints, who contributed one each and Brian Carcerano, Ellis Bourgoujian, and Maxwell Goen, who each chipped in two.
