M2 Siena College beats M2 Central Connecticut St Universit 5-4 after comeback scare

M2 Siena College survived a determined comeback attempt by M2 Central Connecticut St Universit on the way to a 5-4 win.

A goal by Tim Holmes put M2 Siena College up 5-2 in the second period, but M2 Central Connecticut St Universit pulled to within one on Jack Johnson's tally 16:27 into the third period.

Brian Sisti had two goals and one assist to lead M2 Siena College. Sisti scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 16:52 into the first period to make the score 3-2 M2 Siena College. M2 Siena College had gotten the advantage when M2 Central Connecticut St Universit's Dylan Brown was sent off for interference. Michael Scott assisted on the tally. Sisti's next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 M2 Siena College with 14:58 left in the second period.

M2 Siena College surpassed its usual scoring output this season. M2 Siena College averages 2.8 goals per game. M2 Siena College took advantage of M2 Central Connecticut St Universit's penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities.

Bryce Fraser also scored for M2 Siena College. More assists for M2 Siena College came via Alex Wright, who had two and Stephen Schumann and Ricky Runyon, who each chipped in one.

In addition, M2 Central Connecticut St Universit received assists from Kyle Leyerzapf, who had two and Matthew Lis and Connor Loree, who contributed one each.

M2 Siena College incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. M2 Central Connecticut St Universit incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
