Bodziak's hat trick boosts Davenport over M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill, 8-3

Zachary Bodziak lifted Davenport to an 8-3 victory with a hat trick against M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill.

Bodziak got on the scoresheet 3:38 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:15 into the second and at 3:10 into the third.

Davenport forced M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill's netminders to work in net, firing 38 shots and forcing 30 saves. Jake Davis made 28 stops and Samuel Glazer made two. Davenport outdid its season average for goals scored. Davenport averages 5.5 goals per game.

Davenport also got points from Branden Burton, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Kyle Mcconnell, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Donald Sund, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Davenport included Tyler Thomas and Rick Cigile, who each put in one. More assists for Davenport came via Austin Flores, who had two, Daniel Swink, who had five, and Chris Mcrae, Trevor Murray, Alexander Stewart, and Blake Damerow, who contributed one each.

M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill kept Davenport's goalie busy throughout the game, and Christian Thompson made 34 saves on 37 shots.

M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill was led by Nicholas Sabol, who had one goal and one assist. Sabol scored 10:19 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Davenport. Nick Edwards provided the assist. M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill also had goals scored by Jorey Skelton and Nicholas Faulkner, who scored one goal each. In addition, M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill received assists from Ryan Tinsley, who had one and Ryan Rauscher, who had two.
