M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill holds on for 4-3 win against Davenport

Davenport tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill held on for a 4-3 victory.

M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill made the score 4-0 on a goal by Nicholas Sabol at 16:17 in the third period, and Davenport got as close as 4-3 when Daniel Swink scored 19:43 into the third period.

M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill got the win thanks to a great game by Andrew Bond, who had one goal and two assists. Bond scored 4:03 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill. Matthew Burton assisted on the tally.

M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Nick Edwards also scored for M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill. In addition, M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill received assists from Ryan Tinsley, who had one.

M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill was unable to stop Davenport from sending pucks towards the net, and Davenport eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Davenport also got a goal from Zachary Bodziak as well. More assists for Davenport came via Blake Damerow, who had two and Branden Burton and Donald Sund, who contributed one each.

Jake Davis recorded 40 saves for M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill. M2 Southern Illinois -Edwardsvill registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Christian Thompson made 26 saves for Davenport on 29 shots. Davenport incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
