Dietz leads M1 Cornell University over M1 Saint Bonaventure University, 7-3

Behind a great game by Parker Dietz, who had two goals and one assist, the M1 Cornell University Big Red defeated the M1 Saint Bonaventure University Bonnies, 7-3.

Dietz found the back of the net on the power play 8:40 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M1 Cornell University and again while short handed 18:05 into the second to make the score 5-0 M1 Cornell University.

M1 Saint Bonaventure University's power play was ineffective against M1 Cornell University's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Big Red put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Bonnies to score on any of their 10 power plays. M1 Saint Bonaventure University was unable to stop M1 Cornell University from sending pucks towards the net, and the Big Red eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

M1 Cornell University additionally got points from Nathaniel Welsh, who also had one goal and two assists. M1 Cornell University also had goals scored by Dylan Parker, who had two and Tyler Khilani and Michael Habib, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Cornell University were Brendan Brown, who had two and Nathan Shirley, Matthew Blakley, and Graham Murphy, who each chipped in one.

The 43 shots that the Bonnies put on net surpassed M1 Saint Bonaventure University's average of 2.5 shots per game this season. The Bonnies could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 38 minutes in penalties during the game.

Cameron Yang recorded 40 saves for M1 Cornell University. The Big Red incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors. For M1 Cornell University, Parker was ejected from the game. M1 Saint Bonaventure University's Alex Feyche stopped 36 shots out of the 43 that he faced. For the Bonnies, Michael Cumbo and Sean Devine were ejected from the contest.
