The Adrian College Bulldog and the Michigan State University Spartans skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Adrian College trailed Michigan State University by two in the first period, but the Spartans did not give up and the game ended in a 2-2 (OT) tie.

The Bulldog's offense rang up 31 shots on Michigan State University's net.

Adrian College was led by Nichole Laflamme, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Laflamme scored 19:23 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Kaillie Hardy picked up the assist. Alicia Tait also scored for Adrian College. More assists for Adrian College came via Tara Wrbelis and Jessica Rushing, who contributed one each.

The Spartans managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Michigan State University wound up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Spartans were helped by Kara Scaturro, who had two goals. Scaturro scored the first of his two goals at 13:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Michigan State University. Ashley Astor assisted on the tally. Scaturro's next tally made the score 2-0 Michigan State University with 4:37 left in the first period. Alexis Smith picked up the assist. In addition, Michigan State University received assists from Natalie Prisciandaro, who had one.

The Bulldog's Alison Dungey stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Adrian College incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kathryn Hamer made 29 saves for Michigan State University on 31 shots. The Spartans registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
