M1 Delaware ^ University of wins tough contest against M1 Lebanon Valley College, 5-3

The M1 Delaware ^ University of Blue Hens and the M1 Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M1 Delaware ^ University of made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Leo Skehan's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Matt Margolis had two goals and one assist to lead the Blue Hens. Margolis scored the first of his two goals at 7:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Delaware ^ University of. Margolis' next tally made the score 3-3 with 15:35 left in the third period. M1 Delaware ^ University of had taken the advantage when M1 Lebanon Valley College's Russell Armbruster got sent off for delay of game. Nick Ustaski assisted on the tally.

The Blue Hens' penalty kill excelled, as M1 Delaware ^ University of gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

The Blue Hens stifled the Flying Dutchmen's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. By firing 22 shots on goal, M1 Delaware ^ University of exceeded the 4.2 shots it averages per game this year. The Blue Hens could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Delaware ^ University of additionally got points from Skehan, who also finished with one goal and one assist. M1 Delaware ^ University of also had goals scored by John Redgate and Michael Zidansek, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Delaware ^ University of received assists from Alex Guerere and Cole Zucker, who each chipped in one.

Dylan Troiano made 26 saves for M1 Delaware ^ University of on 29 shots. For the Blue Hens, Redgate was ejected from the game. The Flying Dutchmen's Brenden Manquen stopped 17 shots out of the 22 that he faced.
