M2 Bowling Green State University holds on for 6-4 win against M2 DePaul University

M2 DePaul University tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but M2 Bowling Green State University held on for a 6-4 victory.

A goal by Matt Young put M2 Bowling Green State University up 6-2 in the third period, but M2 DePaul University pulled to within two on Nick Oliver's tally 16:36 into the third period.

M2 Bowling Green State University got the win on the strength of a great game by Nolan Culver, who had two goals and two assists. Culver scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:48 into the first period to make the score 1-1. M2 Bowling Green State University had gotten the advantage when M2 DePaul University's Michael Varshavsky was sent off for cross checking. Young picked up the assist. Culver's next tally on the power play made the score 4-1 M2 Bowling Green State University with 7:11 left in the second period. Young provided the assist.

M2 Bowling Green State University struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 20 penalty minutes for eight opposing power plays. M2 Bowling Green State University had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on 12 chances.

M2 Bowling Green State University also got points from Young, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Joey Duffy also scored for M2 Bowling Green State University.
