Russo's hat trick boosts M1 Binghamton University over M1 Ithaca College, 7-4

The M1 Ithaca College Bombers could not stop the M1 Binghamton University Bearcats' Peter Russo, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win.

Russo's first goal came 14:56 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:44 into the second and at 18:28 into the third.

M1 Binghamton University's penalty kill excelled, as the Bearcats gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

M1 Binghamton University stifled M1 Ithaca College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bearcats surpassed their usual scoring output this season. M1 Binghamton University averages 4.4 goals per game. The Bearcats could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. M1 Binghamton University got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

M1 Binghamton University also got points from Kyle Lawrence, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Joseph Posillico, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M1 Binghamton University included Jonathan Lavis and Cameron Krug, who scored one goal each.
