M1 Cornell University outlasts M1 Binghamton University, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Cornell University Big Red escaped with a 4-2 victory over the M1 Binghamton University Bearcats.

M1 Cornell University gained the winning advantage on a goal by Dillon Jones 17:54 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

The Big Red were sparked by Jones, who finished with one goal.

In a losing effort, M1 Binghamton University was led by Peter Russo, who racked up two goals. Russo scored the first of his two goals at 9:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Russo's next tally made the score 2-1 M1 Binghamton University with 2:23 left in the first period.

M1 Cornell University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four M1 Binghamton University power plays.

M1 Cornell University also had goals scored by Treykel McGee, Nathaniel Welsh, and Ryan Hornung, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Cornell University were Brendan Brown, who had one.

The Bearcats excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

The Big Red incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. M1 Binghamton University incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
