The M1 Slippery Rock University Pride gutted out a close 5-3 win against the M1 Penn State University Berks Nittany Lions.

M1 Slippery Rock University gained the winning advantage on a goal by Nate Mettenburg 10:42 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Mettenburg had two goals and one assist to lead the Pride. Mettenburg scored the first of his two goals at 18:52 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Slippery Rock University. Joshua Scott assisted on the tally. Mettenburg's next tally made the score 4-3 M1 Slippery Rock University with 9:18 left in the third period. Brandon Harris picked up the assist.

M1 Penn State University Berks' power play was ineffective against M1 Slippery Rock University's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.
