Cianciolo's big game bests M3-Virginia Commonwealth University in 12-3 M3-Northern Virginia CC win

Anthony Cianciolo was all over the ice for M3-Northern Virginia CC, as he tallied six goals and two assists in M3-Northern Virginia CC's 12-3 win over M3-Virginia Commonwealth University.

Cianciolo's first goal came 5:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:26 into the second, at 14:01 into the second, at 15:45 into the second, at 19:57 into the second, and at 5:45 into the third.

M3-Northern Virginia CC forced M3-Virginia Commonwealth University's goaltenders to work between the pipes, getting 44 shots and forcing 32 saves. Colin Catherman made 14 stops and Seth Crow made 18. M3-Northern Virginia CC found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. M3-Northern Virginia CC has scored at the pace of 7.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

M3-Northern Virginia CC also got points from Andrew Horwath, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Blake Dodson, who also tallied one goal and four assists, and Jordan Graves, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for M3-Northern Virginia CC included Chris Guastaferro and Patrick Gibson, who each put in one. More assists for M3-Northern Virginia CC came via James Klein, who had two and Alexander Bahlau, Tyler Canniff, Jack Klerekoper, and Christopher OBrien, who each chipped in one.

M3-Virginia Commonwealth University was led by Robbie Aylor, who racked up two goals. Aylor scored the first of his two goals at 9:22 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M3-Northern Virginia CC. Ryan Schafer assisted on the tally. Aylor's next tally made the score 2-2 with 7:11 left in the first period. M3-Virginia Commonwealth University also got a goal from Daniel Dillon as well.

Elliot Shelton rejected 24 shots on goal for M3-Northern Virginia CC. M3-Northern Virginia CC avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. M3-Virginia Commonwealth University ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
