Dodson's big game bests M3-Mount St. Marys University in 11-2 M3-Northern Virginia CC win

Behind a great game by Blake Dodson, who had two goals and three assists, M3-Northern Virginia CC defeated M3-Mount St. Marys University, 11-2.

Dodson found the back of the net 13:11 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Northern Virginia CC and again while 4:17 into the third to make the score 10-2 M3-Northern Virginia CC.

M3-Northern Virginia CC forced M3-Mount St. Marys University's goaltenders to work without much rest, finishing with 66 shots and forcing 55 saves. Levi Bean made 15 stops and Justin Miskiel made 40. M3-Northern Virginia CC's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

M3-Northern Virginia CC also got points from Owen OKeefe, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Anthony Cianciolo, who also racked up four goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Logan Winzenburg, who also had one goal and three assists, and Andrew Alldaffer, who also registered one goal and one assist. M3-Northern Virginia CC also got a goal from Jack Klerekoper as well. In addition, M3-Northern Virginia CC received assists from Jordan Graves, who had one, Christopher OBrien, who had three, and Andrew Horwath, who had four.

M3-Mount St. Marys University was led by Anthony Lerro, who tallied one goal and one assist. Lerro scored 12:05 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M3-Northern Virginia CC. David Boudjeda also scored for M3-Mount St. Marys University. More assists for M3-Mount St. Marys University came via Michael Rempe, who had one.

M3-Northern Virginia CC's Elliot Shelton stopped 14 shots out of the 16 that he faced. M3-Northern Virginia CC ended with no penalties and went 1-for-0 on the power play. M3-Mount St. Marys University avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays.
