M3-Oakland University blows out M3-Michigan-Flint University of, 6-2

M3-Oakland University had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over M3-Michigan-Flint University of.

M3-Oakland University got the win behind a great game by Chris Hellebuyck, who had two goals and one assist. Hellebuyck scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 18:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M3-Oakland University. A hooking penalty on Austin Hill had put M3-Oakland University on the power play. Hellebuyck's next tally on the power play made the score 5-1 M3-Oakland University with 11:59 left in the third period. M3-Oakland University had gained a power play chance when Connor Houle was whistled for charging. Aj Rosales picked up the assist.
