M1 Niagara University wins tough contest against M1 Robert Morris Univ Pennsylvania, 6-4Dwyer Arena Sat, Dec 05, 2015 In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Niagara University Purple Eagles escaped with a 6-4 victory over the M1 Robert Morris Univ Pennsylvania Colonials. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Patrick Gregory's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Austin Wharry and Gregory provided the spark for M1 Niagara University, combining for three goals and two assists. Wharry had two goals and one assist and Gregory also notched one goal and one assist. The Purple Eagles struggled on the penalty kill, allowing M1 Robert Morris Univ Pennsylvania to score two power play goals on three chances. M1 Niagara University got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. M1 Niagara University additionally got points from Michael Skopinski, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Gregory, who also had one goal and one assist. M1 Niagara University also had goals scored by Tyler Stockwell and David Hazelet, who each put in one. The Colonials were helped by Andrew Lister, who registered two goals. Lister scored the first of his two goals at 6:43 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Kurt Schmidt assisted on the tally. Lister's next tally made the score 3-3 with 3:17 left in the second period. M1 Robert Morris Univ Pennsylvania had gained a power play chance when Jeffrey Monfils was whistled for cross checking. Travis Reece picked up the assist.
