M1 Canisius College survives M1 Niagara University comeback, wins 6-5Dwyer Arena Sat, Oct 10, 2015 The M1 Niagara University Purple Eagles tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the M1 Canisius College Golden Griffins would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 6-5. M1 Canisius College made the score 5-2 on a goal by Andrew Ferrentino at 14:58 in the second period, and M1 Niagara University got as close as 5-4 when Zachary Seither scored 9:53 into the third period. With four goals and three assists between them, Brandon Bork and Ferrentino teamed up to power the Golden Griffins' offense. Bork finished with two goals and two assists and Ferrentino also notched two goals and one assist. M1 Canisius College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Purple Eagles were unable to stop the Golden Griffins from sending pucks towards the net, and M1 Canisius College eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. M1 Canisius College also got points from Ferrentino, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. M1 Canisius College also had goals scored by Stan Pawlow and Nathan Smith, who scored one goal each. More assists for M1 Canisius College came via Jess Hackett, who had three and Brandin Cousineau, Patrick Hurtubise, Matthew Muszynski, and Jesse Caulkins, who contributed one each.
