The M1 Davenport University Panthers relied on the scoring touch of Chris Eckler, who netted two goals, to beat the M1 Eastern Michigan University Eagles, 10-2.

Eckler scored at 4:55 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Davenport University and again while on the power play 8:23 into the second to make the score 4-2 M1 Davenport University.

M1 Davenport University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Panthers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. M1 Davenport University has scored at the pace of 5.4 goals per game during the current campaign. By firing 57 shots on goal, the Panthers exceeded the 4.0 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Davenport University also got points from Louie Abounader, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Luke Mccarthy, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Cameron Dimmitt, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Everett Thompson, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Alyx Fonseca, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Michael Lozicki, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M1 Davenport University included Adam Goudelock and Jon Mencer, who each put in one. More assists for M1 Davenport University came via Travis White, who had one and Aaron Beally, Winston Hofer, and Alex Hulford, who each chipped in two.

M1 Eastern Michigan University put 24 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.1 it averages per game. The Eagles struggled on the penalty kill, allowing M1 Davenport University to score three power play goals on five chances. M1 Eastern Michigan University was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 28 penalty minutes.

The Eagles were helped by Lucas Linville, who racked up one goal. Linville scored 5:53 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Davenport University. Zack Mlady provided the assist.
