M1 Rochester College outlasts M1 Eastern Michigan University, 5-3Taylor Sportsplex Fri, Jan 15, 2016 The M1 Rochester College Warriors gutted out a close 5-3 win against the M1 Eastern Michigan University Eagles. M1 Rochester College gained the winning advantage on a goal by Ryan Jaros 9:03 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer. The Warriors got the win behind a great game by Jake Zarzycki, who had one goal and two assists. Zarzycki scored 17:10 into the third period to make the score 4-2 M1 Rochester College. M1 Rochester College's penalty kill excelled, as the Warriors gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. M1 Rochester College stifled M1 Eastern Michigan University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Warriors put 39 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.9 they average per game. M1 Rochester College's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Warriors finished with 14 penalty minutes. M1 Rochester College also got points from Jaros, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
