The M1 Rochester College Warriors gutted out a close 5-3 win against the M1 Eastern Michigan University Eagles.

M1 Rochester College gained the winning advantage on a goal by Ryan Jaros 9:03 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

The Warriors got the win behind a great game by Jake Zarzycki, who had one goal and two assists. Zarzycki scored 17:10 into the third period to make the score 4-2 M1 Rochester College.

M1 Rochester College's penalty kill excelled, as the Warriors gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

M1 Rochester College stifled M1 Eastern Michigan University's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Warriors put 39 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.9 they average per game. M1 Rochester College's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Warriors finished with 14 penalty minutes.

M1 Rochester College also got points from Jaros, who also racked up one goal and one assist. M1 Rochester College also had goals scored by Matt Kadolph, Michael DiFranco, and Christopher Williford, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Rochester College were Michael Lasky, Joey Giordano, Brock Malatches, and Shawn Adam, who each chipped in one.

With 35 shots on target during the contest, the Eagles exceeded the 1.4 shot they average per game this year. M1 Eastern Michigan University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.
