Grillo nets hat trick, leads M1 Western Michigan University to 6-0 win over M1 Eastern Michigan University

Brandon Grillo lifted the M1 Western Michigan University Stallions to a 6-0 victory with a hat trick against the M1 Eastern Michigan University Eagles.

Grillo got on the scoresheet 16:52 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:34 into the third and at 15:00 into the third.

Myles Madden spearheaded the defensive effort for M1 Western Michigan University, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 30 saves for the shutout. Madden managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.0 prior to the game.

M1 Eastern Michigan University was unable to stop the Stallions from sending pucks towards the net, and M1 Western Michigan University eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

M1 Western Michigan University also got points from Colin Tittle, who also registered one goal and one assist and Mitch Rogowski, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Cole Kapovich also scored for M1 Western Michigan University. More assists for M1 Western Michigan University came via Zach Roberts, who had two and Carson Malinowski, Declan Hartnett, Matt Shultz, Richard Zehnal, Zach Mudge, and Jared Vincek, who each chipped in one.
