Tardino leads M3-Farmingdale State College over Quinnipiac, 9-3

Michael Tardino was all over the ice for M3-Farmingdale State College, as he tallied two goals and four assists in M3-Farmingdale State College's 9-3 win over Quinnipiac.

Tardino scored short handed at 10:19 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Farmingdale State College and again while short handed 14 seconds into the third to make the score 8-2 M3-Farmingdale State College.

M3-Farmingdale State College's penalty kill excelled, as M3-Farmingdale State College gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.

M3-Farmingdale State College forced Quinnipiac goalie Josh Beron to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. M3-Farmingdale State College could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

M3-Farmingdale State College also got points from Albert Markopoulos, who also tallied three goals and two assists. Bryan Conklin also scored for M3-Farmingdale State College. More assists for M3-Farmingdale State College came via Frankie Azzara and Shawn Post, who each chipped in one.

Quinnipiac was led by Jake Healey, who registered two goals. Healey scored the first of his two goals at 2:43 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M3-Farmingdale State College. Craig Standish assisted on the tally. Healey's next tally made the score 3-2 M3-Farmingdale State College with 13:42 left in the second period. Peter Beckwermert picked up the assist. Quinnipiac also got a goal from Sean Simons as well.

Stephen Montgomery made 15 saves for M3-Farmingdale State College on 18 shots. M3-Farmingdale State College registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Beron rejected 30 shots on goal for Quinnipiac. Quinnipiac incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
