The M1 Adrian College Bulldogs survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Illinois ^ University of Fighting Illini on the way to a 2-1 win.

A goal by Cooper Mclean put M1 Adrian College up 2-0 in the third period, but M1 Illinois ^ University of pulled to within one on David Kellner's tally 19:30 into the third period.

The Bulldogs were sparked by Mclean, who registered one goal. Mclean scored 2:07 into the third period to make the score 2-0 M1 Adrian College. Brad Kobryn picked up the assist.

M1 Adrian College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Fighting Illini to score on any of their four power plays. The Bulldogs' offense operated below their season average. M1 Adrian College averages 5.1 goals per game.
