Monmouth University relied on the scoring touch of William Parsons, who netted two goals, to beat M2 Wagner College, 5-2.

Parsons scored at 29 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 Monmouth University and again while 13:10 into the third to make the score 4-2 Monmouth University.

Monmouth University's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Monmouth University finished with 18 penalty minutes.

Monmouth University also got a goal from Anthony DeFede as well. More assists for Monmouth University came via Jordan Shelepak, Eric Luetters, Ryan ORourke, and Allen Zak, who each chipped in one.

M2 Wagner College could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

M2 Wagner College was led by Anthony Decicco, who racked up two goals. Decicco scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:39 into the first period to make the score 1-1. M2 Wagner College had gained a power play chance when Parsons was whistled for roughing. John Andersson provided the assist. Decicco's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Monmouth University with 9:58 left in the second period. M2 Wagner College had gotten the advantage when Monmouth University's Marshall Conklin was sent off for hooking. Brandon Hutchison picked up the assist. In addition, M2 Wagner College received assists from Vincent Dimare and John Perretta, who contributed one each.
