Kobryn's hat trick boosts M1 Adrian College over M1 Davenport University, 8-1Patterson IC 1 Fri, Oct 30, 2015 Brad Kobryn netted a hat trick to lead the M1 Adrian College Bulldogs over the M1 Davenport University Panthers, 8-1. Kobryn's first goal came 3:17 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:36 into the second and at 1:37 into the third.M1 Adrian College's Austyn Roudebush was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 27 saves and let only one puck past him. Roudebush certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.6 entering the contest. The Bulldogs forced M1 Davenport University's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, launching 32 shots and forcing 24 saves. Matt Kaludis made 14 stops and Clayton Brown made 10. M1 Adrian College stifled the Panthers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bulldogs outdid their season average for goals scored. This season, M1 Adrian College averages 5.0 goals per contest. M1 Adrian College also got points from Cooper Mclean, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Ted Anstett, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Nicholas Balavich, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for M1 Adrian College included Zachary Mackay and Ken Winter, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Adrian College were Tyler Duarte, who had two and Nikolas Sakellaropoulos and Josh Hosking, who contributed one each. M1 Davenport University's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to the Bulldogs' power play unit. The Panthers were led by Kody Polin, who scored the team's only goal. Polin scored 16:00 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M1 Adrian College. Everett Thompson picked up the assist. M1 Adrian College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. M1 Davenport University totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-3 on the power play. The Panthers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Aaron Beally was ejected from the game.
