Kaludis leads M1 Davenport University to shutout victory over M1 Michigan-Dearborn ^University of

Matt Kaludis made 26 saves to complete the shutout and led the M1 Davenport University Panthers to a 4-0 win against the M1 Michigan-Dearborn ^University of Wolverines.

M1 Davenport University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

The Panthers were sparked by Chris Eckler, who registered one goal and one assist. Eckler scored short handed 3:43 into the second period to make the score 1-0 M1 Davenport University. M1 Davenport University found itself down a man on Tyler Ploeg's slashing. Kody Polin assisted on the tally.

The Panthers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. M1 Davenport University forced M1 Michigan-Dearborn ^University of goalie Nate Ferris to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

M1 Davenport University also had goals scored by Jordan Simmonds, Travis White, and Michael Lozicki, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Davenport University received assists from Aaron Beally, who had two and Louie Abounader, Matt Ogden, and Everett Thompson, who contributed one each.

The Wolverines stifled the Panthers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. M1 Michigan-Dearborn ^University of did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Wolverines average 4.6 goals per game.

M1 Davenport University registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. Nate Ferris made 31 saves for M1 Michigan-Dearborn ^University of on 35 shots. The Wolverines incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
