Vitale lifts M3-Lawrence Tech (White) over M3-Penn State-Behrend, 5-1

M3-Lawrence Tech (White) relied on the scoring touch of Dante Vitale, who netted four goals, to beat M3-Penn State-Behrend, 5-1.

Vitale got on the scoresheet 15:05 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:55 into the second, at 1:47 into the third, and at 15:57 into the third.

M3-Lawrence Tech (White) was led by goalie Brandon Paulus, who finished with 30 saves while allowing one goal. Paulus certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.93 entering the contest.

M3-Lawrence Tech (White)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six M3-Penn State-Behrend power plays. M3-Lawrence Tech (White)'s offense rang up 33 shots on M3-Penn State-Behrend's net. M3-Lawrence Tech (White) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

M3-Lawrence Tech (White) also got a goal from Brendan Parker as well. In addition, M3-Lawrence Tech (White) received assists from David Shepler, who had one and Josh Denomie, who had two.

M3-Penn State-Behrend could not produce up to its normal offensive output. M3-Penn State-Behrend averages 4.3 goals per game. M3-Penn State-Behrend forced M3-Lawrence Tech (White) goalie Paulus to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. M3-Penn State-Behrend found itself short handed often, totaling 18 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays.

M3-Penn State-Behrend was led by Nathan Ropelewski, who scored the team's only goal. Ropelewski scored 14:12 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M3-Lawrence Tech (White). Brenden Mcfarlane assisted on the tally.

Derek Shaffer recorded 28 saves for M3-Penn State-Behrend.
