M3-Indiana University beats M3-Ball State University 7-2 as French gets hat trick

Christian French netted a hat trick to lead M3-Indiana University over M3-Ball State University, 7-2.

French's first goal came 4:40 into the second period. He then added goals at 19:08 into the second and at 19:25 into the second.

M3-Ball State University's power play was ineffective against M3-Indiana University's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

M3-Indiana University forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and three majors for 31 minutes in penalty time. M3-Indiana University had been averaging 18.0 minutes in penalties per game.
