M2 Rider University relied on the scoring touch of Christopher Johnson, who netted two goals, to beat M2 Army, 5-2.

Johnson scored at 5:27 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M2 Rider University and again while 4:15 into the third to make the score 3-2 M2 Rider University.

M2 Rider University's penalty kill excelled, as M2 Rider University gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

M2 Rider University kept M2 Army's goalie busy throughout the game, and Robert Fenton made 34 saves on 39 shots. M2 Rider University took advantage of M2 Army's penalties, tallying two goals off of three power play opportunities.

M2 Rider University additionally got points from Patrick Grilli, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Andrew Heinz, who also had one goal and one assist.
