M2 Army erases deficit to stun M1 Towson University, 5-4

M2 Army climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the M1 Towson University Tigers, 5-4.

M2 Army let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. M2 Army took a 1-0 advantage on a goal by Nick Curtin at 1:17 in the first period. M2 Army found itself down 3-1 after M1 Towson University's Matt Stella put the puck home at 4:46 in the second period. After knotting things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Matthew Mcguire at 14:14 in the third, M2 Army got the game-winner from Andrew OLeary at 15:35 in the third period.

M2 Army got the win with help from a great game by Matthew Riehl, who had two goals and two assists. Riehl scored the first of his two goals at 6:14 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Towson University. Andrew Lysakowski picked up the assist. Riehl's next tally made the score 3-3 with 2:54 left in the second period. Cory Miller assisted on the tally.

M2 Army also got points from Curtin, who also tallied two goals and one assist. In addition, M2 Army received assists from Alex Voronovich, Alexander Miller, and Kyle Vogel, who contributed one each.

The Tigers kept M2 Army's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Curran made 27 saves on 31 shots.

M1 Towson University additionally got points from Stella, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Michael Darosa, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Chris Szoka also scored for M1 Towson University. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Towson University were Nicholas Vonakis and Jeremy Snyder, who each chipped in one.

M2 Army incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. M1 Towson University's Tyler Depfer stopped 25 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Tigers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
