M1 Adrian College survives M1 Oakland University comeback, wins 3-1

The M1 Oakland University Golden Grizzlies tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the M1 Adrian College Bulldogs held on for a 3-1 victory.

M1 Adrian College made the score 3-0 on a goal by Chris Derochie at 6:08 in the third period, and M1 Oakland University got as close as 3-1 when Conor Durgan scored 19:58 into the third period.

The Bulldogs' penalty kill excelled, as M1 Adrian College gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

The Bulldogs' offense rang up 40 shots on the Golden Grizzlies' net. M1 Adrian College could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Bulldogs were helped by Brad Kobryn, who tallied one goal. Kobryn scored 59 seconds into the third period to make the score 2-0 M1 Adrian College. Andre Rakas assisted on the tally. Nicholas Balavich also scored for M1 Adrian College. In addition, M1 Adrian College received assists from Tyler Duarte, Trevor Benaglio, Justin Fisher, and Robert Bodette, who each chipped in one.

M1 Oakland University struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 16 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

More assists for M1 Oakland University came via Joe Pizzimenti and Spencer Stark, who contributed one each.

Matthew Schnoes rejected 21 shots on goal for M1 Adrian College. The Golden Grizzlies' Bryce Goulah stopped 37 shots out of the 40 that he faced.
