The M1 Adrian College Bulldogs' penalty kill was superb, as M1 Adrian College survived multiple penalties to beat the M1 Niagara University Purple Eagles, 4-1.

The Bulldogs were led by Brad Kobryn, who registered one goal. Kobryn scored on the power play 7:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 M1 Adrian College. M1 Adrian College earned a power play opportunity when Jeffrey Monfils was put in the box for holding. Chris Derochie assisted on the tally.

The Bulldogs kept M1 Niagara University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mike Parda made 36 saves on 40 shots. M1 Adrian College cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances.

M1 Adrian College also got points from Tyler Duarte, who also finished with two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Trevor Benaglio also scored for M1 Adrian College. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Adrian College were Robert Bodette, who had two and Josh Hosking and Justin Polischuk, who each chipped in one.

The Purple Eagles were held below their usual level of production. M1 Niagara University averages 3.2 goals per game.

The Purple Eagles were led by Nick Smith, who scored the team's only goal. Smith scored on the power play 7:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Niagara University. M1 Niagara University had taken the advantage when the Bulldogs' Bodette got sent off for high sticking. Patrick Gregory picked up the assist.

M1 Adrian College's Austyn Roudebush stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. The Bulldogs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Purple Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
