M3-Hope College uses early goal to top M3-Grand Valley State University, 3-1

Riley Draper scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and M3-Hope College held off the challenges of M3-Grand Valley State University in a tough 3-1 win.

M3-Hope College took over the lead for good with a goal by Draper at 9:30 in the first period. Caleb Wortz provided the assist.

M3-Hope College's Eric Lipon was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 35 saves and let only one puck past him. Lipon certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.62 entering the contest.

M3-Hope College was led by Evan Augustine, who racked up one goal. Augustine scored 18:28 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Hope College. Wortz picked up the assist.
