M3-Grand Valley State University penalty kill dominates in 7-4 defeat of M3-Calvin College

M3-Calvin College failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and M3-Grand Valley State University shook off a number of penalties to win, 7-4.

M3-Grand Valley State University was led by Corey Smith, who racked up one goal. Smith scored 7:46 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Grand Valley State University. Eric White picked up the assist.

By firing 36 shots on goal, M3-Grand Valley State University exceeded the 1.7 shot it averages per game this year.
