M1 Minot State University outlasts M1 Non-ACHA Team, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Minot State University Beavers escaped with a 4-2 victory over M1 Non-ACHA Team.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Derrick Brooks secured the win for M1 Minot State University with a goal in the second period.

Jeremy Johnson had a great game for the Beavers, netting two goals. Johnson found the back of the net 17:51 into the second period to make the score 3-1 M1 Minot State University and again while 19:06 into the third to make the score 4-2 M1 Minot State University.

M1 Minot State University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The 69 shots that the Beavers put on net surpassed M1 Minot State University's average of 5.8 shots per game this season.

M1 Minot State University additionally got points from Brett Nespor, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for M1 Minot State University came via Lyndon Lipinski and Austin Yano, who contributed one each.
