Kilby's goals lift Carleton Place Midget AAA to 7-4 victory over Gloucester Midget AAA

Behind a great game by Dale Kilby, who had two goals, the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians defeated the Gloucester Midget AAA Rangers, 7-4.

Kilby's tallies came at 11:51 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and 3:31 into the third to make the score 4-2 Carleton Place Midget AAA.

Carleton Place Midget AAA stifled Gloucester Midget AAA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Canadians found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Carleton Place Midget AAA averages 3.2 goals per game.

Carleton Place Midget AAA also got points from Ryan Shaw, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Ryland Mosley, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Scott Gervais, who also registered one goal and one assist. Carleton Place Midget AAA also had goals scored by Joey Warywoda and Spencer Marshall, who each put in one. In addition, Carleton Place Midget AAA received assists from Logan Buchanan, who had two and Liam Markhauser, Ryan Bangs, and Oliver Carriere, who contributed one each.

The Rangers were helped by Harry Sanders, who tallied one goal. Sanders scored 7:55 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cameron Sinclair picked up the assist. Gloucester Midget AAA additionally got points from Connor Noonan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Gloucester Midget AAA included Zachary Towns and Sam Paquette, who scored one goal each. More assists for Gloucester Midget AAA came via Ethan Manderville and Alex MacNeil, who each chipped in one.

Chris Cuglietta recorded 19 saves for the Canadians. Carleton Place Midget AAA incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brent Pledge-Dickson made 21 saves for Gloucester Midget AAA on 27 shots. The Rangers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
