The Cumberland Midget AAA Grads took the lead against the Cornwall Midget AAA Colts in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-1 victory.

A goal 9:58 into the first period by Francois Drouin proved to be the game winner, and powered Cumberland Midget AAA to the victory. The Grads had gained a power play chance when Ryan Lamer was whistled for hit to the head. Tristan Francis picked up the assist.

Cumberland Midget AAA was paced by Alex Robert, who finished with one goal. Robert scored 6:11 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cumberland Midget AAA. Roman Cannell provided the assist.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 12:18 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Cornwall Midget AAA was led by Mathieu Sabourin, who scored the team's only goal. Sabourin scored 14:49 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cumberland Midget AAA. Joseph Samson picked up the assist.

The Grads ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Liam Peyton was ejected from the game. Greg Brassard recorded 28 saves for the Colts. Cornwall Midget AAA totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For the Colts, Jonah Peters was ejected from the game.
