The OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

Ottawa Midget AAA made the score 5-2 on a goal by Adrien Bisson at 12:02 in the third period, and OHA U17 Midget AAA got as close as 5-3 when Matthew Briggs scored 14:12 into the third period.

Bisson had a great game for the Senators, netting two goals.

Ottawa Midget AAA forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 10.0 minutes per game the Senators had been spending in the box. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Ottawa Midget AAA additionally got points from Tyler Villeneuve, who also registered one goal and one assist. Nicolas Rousseau made 26 saves for Ottawa Midget AAA on 29 shots. The Senators registered three goals on six power play opportunities. Ottawa Midget AAA ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Rippon was ejected from the game. Dillon Lamarche rejected 17 shots on goal for OHA U17 Midget AAA.
