M1 Midland University outlasts M2 Waldorf College, 4-2

M1 Midland University and M2 Waldorf College were evenly matched throughout their contest, but M1 Midland University made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Zach Voss's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Voss was all over the ice for M1 Midland University, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Voss scored 15:20 into the second period to make the score 3-2 M1 Midland University. Sam Zwiener assisted on the tally.

M1 Midland University put 30 shots on net during the contest, more than the 26.5 it averages per game. M1 Midland University found itself short handed often, totaling 20 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays. The defensemen of M1 Midland University were also effective in M2 Waldorf College's zone, and came away with two goals.

Bradley Hepler also scored for M1 Midland University. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Midland University were Tyler Gallagher, Blake Neumann, Evan Anderson, Kyle Whipple, and Jarrett Stark, who contributed one each.
