Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the M1 Delaware ^ University of Blue Hens defeated the M1 Rhode Island ^ University of Rams in a shootout 5-4 (1-0 SO).

The shootout featured six attempts between both teams.

Cole Zucker had two goals to lead M1 Delaware ^ University of to victory. Zucker scored at 1:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Delaware ^ University of and again while 13:32 into the third to make the score 4-4.

The 30 shots that the Blue Hens put on net surpassed M1 Delaware ^ University of's average of 0.1 shots per game this season.
