M1 Arkansas ^ University of falls to M1 Missouri State University in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The M1 Missouri State University Ice Bears pulled out a 2-1 (OT) overtime victory over the M1 Arkansas ^ University of Razorbacks on a clutch goal by Travis Barrett.

M1 Arkansas ^ University of was stymied by M1 Missouri State University's netminder Mitch Fernsler, who stopped 41 shots during the victory. Fernsler certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.08 entering the contest.

The Razorbacks' power play was ineffective against the Ice Bears' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

With 29 shots on target during the contest, M1 Missouri State University exceeded the 1.1 shot it averages per game this year. The Ice Bears could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Missouri State University also got a goal from Andrew Kovacich as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Missouri State University were Bobby Brown, James Demarco, and Ryan Hogland, who contributed one each.

M1 Missouri State University was unable to stop M1 Arkansas ^ University of from sending pucks towards the net, and the Razorbacks eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. M1 Arkansas ^ University of was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 16 penalty minutes.

The Razorbacks were led by Luc Gradisar, who scored the team's only goal. Gradisar scored on the power play nine seconds into the third period to make the score 1-0 M1 Arkansas ^ University of. Austin Thielges picked up the assist.

The Ice Bears registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Oliver Eklund made 27 saves for M1 Arkansas ^ University of on 29 shots.
