Spraggs' goals lift M1 Lindenwood University to 5-1 victory over M1 Missouri State University

Behind a great game by Riley Spraggs, who had two goals, the M1 Lindenwood University Lions defeated the M1 Missouri State University Ice Bears, 5-1.

Spraggs scored at 10:56 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Lindenwood University and again while on the power play 15:31 into the first to make the score 2-0 M1 Lindenwood University.

M1 Missouri State University was stymied by M1 Lindenwood University's netminder Cody Karpinski, who stopped 25 shots during the victory. Karpinski certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.61 entering the contest.

By firing 52 shots on goal, the Lions exceeded the 0.6 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Lindenwood University also got a goal from Michael Lozano as well. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Lindenwood University were Lukas Daniels, who had three and Alexander Carlsson, Tobias Nasgarde, and Stephen Bopp, who contributed one each.

The Ice Bears did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. M1 Missouri State University averages 4.3 goals per game. The Ice Bears put 26 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.6 they average per game.

M1 Lindenwood University incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. M1 Missouri State University's Justin Davis stopped 47 shots out of the 52 that he faced. The Ice Bears incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
