In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Missouri State University Ice Bears escaped with a 4-3 victory over the M1 Central Oklahoma ^ University of Bronchos.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Andrew Kovacich secured the win for M1 Missouri State University with a goal in the third period.

The Ice Bears got the win with help from a great game by Kovacich, who had two goals and one assist. Kovacich scored the first of his two goals at 6:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Missouri State University. Marshall Gevers assisted on the tally. Kovacich's next tally made the score 4-3 M1 Missouri State University with 2:39 left in the third period. Alex Turin picked up the assist.
