M1 Colorado ^ University of uses early goal to top M1 Missouri State University, 3-1

Matt Anders gave the M1 Colorado ^ University of Golden Buffaloes the lead in the first period, and the M1 Missouri State University Ice Bears was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 3-1.

M1 Colorado ^ University of took over the lead for good with a goal by Anders at 15:07 in the first period. Chris Burkemper picked up the assist.

M1 Missouri State University was stymied by the Golden Buffaloes' netminder Colin Champine, who stopped 28 shots during the victory. Champine managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.53 prior to the game.
