In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers escaped with a 4-2 victory over the M1 Indiana Univ of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Emilio Mayagoitia Puente's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

M1 Mercyhurst University was led by Mayagoitia Puente, who grabbed one goal. Mayagoitia Puente scored 12:53 into the third period to make the score 3-2 M1 Mercyhurst University. Dominick Zangaro provided the assist.
