M1 Colorado ^ University of survives M1 Minot State University comeback, wins 5-3

The M1 Minot State University Beavers tried their best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the M1 Colorado ^ University of Golden Buffaloes would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

M1 Colorado ^ University of took a 5-1 lead during the third period, only to have M1 Minot State University storm back on a Sam Briscoe goal 11:56 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Jake Bauer was all over the ice for the Golden Buffaloes, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Bauer scored on the power play 5:10 into the second period to make the score 4-0 M1 Colorado ^ University of. M1 Colorado ^ University of had gotten the advantage when the Beavers' Dylan Gejdos was sent off for slashing. Andrew Bradford assisted on the tally.

The Golden Buffaloes' offense was clicking better than usual and put 27 shots on goal during the game, better than the 14.8 shots per game they average. M1 Colorado ^ University of's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Golden Buffaloes finished with 14 penalty minutes.

M1 Colorado ^ University of also had goals scored by Matt Anders, who had two and John Nitchen and Luke Carter, who each put in one. In addition, M1 Colorado ^ University of received assists from Chris Burkemper, Luke Coyne, Matthew Hefter, Robert Salvato, and Thomas Jarman, who each chipped in one.

M1 Minot State University's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. The Beavers average 2.1 goals allowed per game. M1 Minot State University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game. The Beavers put 40 shots on net during the contest, more than the 6.4 they average per game.
