M3-College of Charleston uses big games from Savino and Fromerth to down M2 Duke University, 6-3

Behind two goals and one assist from William Savino and one goal and two assists from Riley Fromerth, M3-College of Charleston downed the M2 Duke University Blue Devils 6-3.

Savino scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 19:27 into the first period to make the score 3-2 M2 Duke University. Kyle Leddy assisted on the tally. Savino's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 M3-College of Charleston with 12:12 left in the third period. Evan Sliker picked up the assist. Fromerth scored 1:42 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Benjamin Tamsky assisted on the tally.

M3-College of Charleston kept M2 Duke University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Decky made 34 saves on 40 shots.

M3-College of Charleston additionally got points from Tamsky, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Fromerth, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for M3-College of Charleston included Patrick Ging and Tj Thaler, who each put in one. More assists for M3-College of Charleston came via Brandon Hawes, who had one.

The Blue Devils put 35 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.1 they average per game.

M2 Duke University was helped by Alexander Voloshin, who tallied two goals. Voloshin scored the first of his two goals at 7:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M2 Duke University. Kevin Brooke provided the assist. Voloshin's next tally made the score 3-1 M2 Duke University with 2:09 left in the first period. Travis Buck assisted on the tally. M2 Duke University also got points from Buck, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points.
