Michael Leach had a standout game with 25 saves, and the Carleton Place Midget AAA Canadians beat the OHA U17 Midget AAA OHA U16 2-1.

Carleton Place Midget AAA pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

The Canadians were led by Anthony Douchant, who registered one goal. Douchant scored 5:24 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place Midget AAA.

Carleton Place Midget AAA's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven OHA U17 Midget AAA power plays.

Carleton Place Midget AAA also got a goal from Logan Buchanan as well. In addition, Carleton Place Midget AAA received assists from Dale Kilby, who had one.

OHA U17 Midget AAA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

The OHA U16 were led by Tod Philibert, who scored the team's only goal. Philibert scored 11:51 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Thomas Harper assisted on the tally.

Dillon Lamarche made 26 saves for OHA U17 Midget AAA on 28 shots. The OHA U16 incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
