Tyler Newell had two goals to lead the Ottawa Midget AAA Senators to a 6-2 victory over the Hawkesbury Midget AAA Hawks.

Ottawa Midget AAA forced Hawkesbury Midget AAA goalie Alex Labreche to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. The Senators' goal total was higher than their season average. Ottawa Midget AAA has scored at the pace of 3.3 goals per game during the current campaign.

Others who scored for Ottawa Midget AAA included Jean-Sylvain Boyer, who had two and Daniel Lambert and Jacob Lamont, who each put in one. In addition, Ottawa Midget AAA received assists from Danny Johnson, Merrick Rippon, Nicholas Raponi de Roia, Wade Brennan, Alderic Denis, and Noah Haymes, who contributed one each.

The Hawks were helped by Cameron Buck, who racked up one goal. Buck scored 16:28 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Ottawa Midget AAA. Ryan Wells provided the assist. Hawkesbury Midget AAA also got a goal from Tyler Boivin as well. More assists for Hawkesbury Midget AAA came via Nathan Sauve and Brandon Legare, who each chipped in one.

Nicolas Rousseau rejected 24 shots on goal for the Senators. Ottawa Midget AAA finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-3 with the man advantage. Hawkesbury Midget AAA's Labreche stopped 27 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Hawks incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
